Sonic was in the kitchen eating a donut and playing with his car. "Hmm?" Sonic grabs his phone, "Hello?" Sonic asked. "Hello Sonic it's daddy" said Dark, "Daddy! Thanks for the car!" Sonic said, "Your welcome but that was just a warm up gift Sonic your real gift doesn't come till I get back at Christmas" said Dark. "I can't wait!" Sonic said, "I'm sure you can't" said Dark "Dad, Shadow's boss is after me" said Sonic, "Did you try calling the cops?" asked Dark, "He will get Shadow out of his job" said Sonic. "I don't care Sonic I don't want that guy bothering you" said Dark, "But Shadow needs the work" said Sonic "I know but I'm more concern for your safety Sonic" said Dark. "I'm safe with Shadow" said Sonic, ".... You feel safe with him don't you?" asked Dark, "Yes I do, he is my older brother" said Sonic, ".. I'm happy for you Sonic" said Dark sweetly. "Thanks Daddy" said Sonic, "Your welcome son.. Sonic I won't be calling anymore, and try not to call me. I want you and Shadow to grow stronger together, go speak with him when you are in trouble or when you need someone to talk to" said Dark, "But I like to call you" said Sonic, "I know, you can call me sometimes especially when you need help, but I want you to trust more in Shadow" said Dark. "I will *cough* don't worry" said Sonic, "Sonic are you sick?" asked Dark, "I don't know, it's cold here" said Sonic. "Stay warm don't be catching a cold okay?" asked Dark, "No I won't get cold. I will stay warm" said Sonic, "Okay take care" said Dark, "Love you" said Sonic hanging up, he keeps playing and eating his donut.

Someone hugged the back of Sonic lifting him a bit from the floor, Sonic looked back, "Hello Sonic" said Fleetway cuddling to Sonic's cheek purring. "I'm playing! Put me down" said Sonic, "Someone's a little spicy today" said Fleetway settling Sonic down, "I'm busy" said Sonic staring at the car, "What are you doing there then?" asked Fleetway. "Playing with my new car" said Sonic, "It looks pretty cool did your brother have it to you?" asked Fleetway, "My dad" said Sonic, "Oh so it's special" said Fleetway petting Sonic's head. Sonic nod and coughed again, "Hmm? Are you sick?" asked Fleetway, Sonic shocks his head, "I'm fine" said Sonic, "You sure?" asked Fleetway. "Yes!" Sonic said, "Geez no need to be so sassy" said Fleetway, Sonic keeps coughing and couldn't stop, he was getting red. "Hey your not okay" said Fleetway he grabbed Sonic and held him close, "Sonic relax and calm down" said Fleetway, Sonic couldn't breath well. Fleetway started to pressure his chest to make him calm down, "I need the to get you to a hospital" said Fleetway grabbing Sonic bridal style. "Sh.. Sha-adow..." Sonic said, "It's alright I will warn him" said Fleetway he didn't though about it twice he took Sonic to the hospital.

After a while it was like a hour before Shadow for out, "I wonder where is Sonic after all he couldn't have just stay in the kitchen all day" thought Shadow. Then he was getting a call, "Hello?" he answer, Shadow drop the phone and quickly got off his his desk, "Rouge I'm heading to the hospital!" yelled Shadow.

Sonic was in a bed with a mask of air, he was unconscious. "What happen?! Why didn't you warn me?! I should sew you!" yelled Shadow at Fleetway, "Relax you are lucky I was there when this happen!" yelled Fleetway, "Where is he?" asked Shadow, "In the room he is unconscious" said Fleetway. Shadow went to the room and saw Sonic on the bed, there it was his car. "Sonic?" Shadow went next to him, "Sonic why didn't you tell me? I knew you were feeling sick but I didn't knew it was this bad" said Shadow he grabbed his hand, Sonic was breathing slowly through the mask. "Grrr! Sonic, why do you keep doing this? First your innocence, then your childish attitude and now this" said Shadow he though the was going to cry seen Sonic that was made such a strong impact on him. Shadow saw the paper of his condition and read it, Sonic got a heart attack and he is with little blood. "Sonic please for the sake of both of us be okay" said Shadow, Some hours later, Sonic was moving a little, he open his eyes slowly. Shadow was there next to him he looked a bit tired. Sonic looked around, "Where am I?..." Sonic asked, "In the hospital" said Shadow, "Again.." Sonic mumbled, Shadow got up and walked out, Fleetway looked at Shadow, "Shadow?" he asked, "I'll be back" said Shadow. Fleetway enter the room "Hey kid how are you feeling?" asked Fleetway gently. "Not good" said Sonic lowering his ears, "You'll be okay the doctors said so" said Fleetway, "They always told me the same.." Sonic said. "I know you have been more than once here the doctor told us, why didn't you tell Shadow about your sickness?" asked Fleetway, "... I was scared" said Sonic, "Everyone gets scared Sonic, but hiding something so important is nothing to be scared of" said Fleetway, "But I am.. I won't have much time..." Sonic said, "... Sonic ... Your mother knew didn't she? And I bet Shadow's father must know if she is marrying him" said Fleetway, "She knew... But I can't do anything to save myself" said Sonic. ".... Sonic I know you will be okay the doctors told us there is still a way.. You do believe it right?" asked Fleetway, "No... I need blood to be better but.. There isn't anyone with the same blood as mine in the world... I have been here for 8 years and haven't found anyone *cough*.." Sonic said, Fleetway looked down at Sonic's sheets, "That's what the doctor said too" said Fleetway, "I'm going to die.." Sonic said, "Sonic please don't say those things, think about how Shadow feels" said Fleetway, "... I want to be alone" said Sonic. "Alright" said Fleetway as he went outside of the room giving Sonic some privacy. Fleetway went to Shadow that wasn't that far he was just in some balcony the hospital had. "Shadow? You mind if I join you?" asked Fleetway, "Nah just sit down" said Shadow, "Sonic is feeling a bit down" said Fleetway, "He needs his parents, his mother and real father" said Shadow. "Your clueless aren't you" said Fleetway, "What do you mean?" asked Shadow, "Sonic's father died of the same condition years ago the doctor told me when I first took Sonic here" said Fleetway. ".... So he lost his father by the condition, he still has his mother he needs nothing else" said Shadow. "Your still broken aren't you" said Fleetway, "Fleetway this has nothing to do with my past leave me alone I don't want to know about anyone today I wish you could all disappear for once!!" yelled Shadow, "Fine but if was you I at least call his mother" said Fleetway, "I can't do that I'll just tell him to call his mother" said Shadow, "Shadow? Are you upset for what happen 15 years ago?" asked Fleetway, "Shut up at least you had a mother who loved you, my mother left me, she didn't love me and she didn't even gave me a chance" said Shadow mad.

Sonic was checking the car, he was crying since Fleetway left. "Look I'm sorry Fleetway your right, in this moment I can't think of me" said Shadow getting up he went to the room but though about to much he put his ear on the door. "He hates me.. He hates me now... I'm sorry dad... I can't live anymore" said Sonic hugging his toy and cry on it. ".... *sigh*" Shadow turned away from the door and walked away he just couldn't handle it. Shadow then heard something breaking coming from inside the room, "Sonic?" Shadow went inside the room opening the door in a flash. The car was on the floor, Sonic's wrist was bleeding. "Sonic the hell?!" Shadow grabbed onto Sonic, "I didn't meant to do it" said Sonic as he cries, "Stay still be calm, Nurse!" yelled Shadow, the nurse came and help him. "There that should do it now Sonic be more careful we can't afford you losing more blood" said the nurse, Sonic nod and sobs. The nurse left them alone, Shadow was mad for what happen. Sonic rested his head on Shadow's chest, Shadow put his hand on his head, Shadow shivered a bit, "Don't do that again" said Shadow. ".. I'm sorry.." Sonic said, "You scared me" said Shadow, "I thought...." Sonic closed his eyes tight. Shadow wrapped his arms around him, "Just promise me you won't ever do that again" said Shadow, "... You care?" Sonic asked, "Don't be dumb you know I care!" said Shadow holding him tighter. He closed his eyes tight, "... I thought.. You hated me.." Sonic said, "I don't hate you.... It's just the way I am" said Shadow, "It doesn't looked like that.." Sonic said. "How do you want me to be then? I'm sorry if I rejected you so hard" Shadow tears started to slide down his cheek, Sonic was already asleep, he was weak and couldn't stay awake. Shadow didn't notice till he opened his eyes and settle Sonic gently. Shadow just put his hands on his face trying to relax.
