      Shadow was looking at the time, soon it will be dark, he was planning on going to see Sonic at night. Shade saw that Shadow was acting weird, "Shadow is everything alright?" asked Shade, "Yes, I'm going to the forest to play my guitar" said Shadow, "At night?" asked Shade, how Shadow would practice at nigth in a forest? "Yeah is more quiet" said Shadow."But what about the Voice and the dragon?" asked Shade, "Don't worry, I wont get in trouble and those are legends" said Shadow, Shade couldn't say no to Shadow, "Ok but don't be late" said Shade "Don't worry" said Shadow as he went to the forest.Shadow look at the sky it was like red, "In some minutes the sun will hide" said Shadow to himself, he continues walking until he got to the lake. But Shadow didn't saw Sonic, in the middle of the lake was planted a beautiful blue rose, its look so lonely. Then the sky was dark and the rose start to glow, Shadow saw that the blue rose was taking a shape.Then Sonic appeared and stand on the same place that the rose was planted, Sonic saw Shadow and smiled, "Hi Shadow" said Sonic happy to see his new friend. Shadow smile at him, "Hi Sonic" said Shadow, Sonic walk to were Shadow was but on top of the water, Shadow was surprised, Sonic giggle, "Shadow, are you surprise because I'm walking on the water?" asked Sonic.Shadow look at Sonic, "Well yeah is amazing" said Shadow, Sonic stop infront oh Shadow and grab Shadow's hands, "Come with me Shadow" said Sonic draging Shadow to the lake, "Sonic wait! I can't do the same" said Shadow but when he look down he was standing on top of the water. Sonic giggle, "See? No need to worry" said Sonic, Shadow blush when he hear Sonic's giggle,"Don't let go of my hand or you will fall to the water" said Sonic, "Ok" Sonic walk with Shadow on the lake, it was like skating. Shadow thought of something, "Sonic do you like to dance with me?" asked Shadow, Sonic blush, "O-ok" said Sonic, Shadow started to dance with Sonic around the lake, Sonic saw those ruby eyes and Shadow at those green emeralds. "He is so different of other guys. He's special" thought Shadow he put a hand on Sonic waist and the other had his hand. Sonic face was red,"I think that I in..... Love?!" thought Shadow, they stop dancing on the middle of the lake, their faces were looking at them self. "Should I tell him? What he would say?" thought Shadow, "Shadow?" said Sonic he was shy to make a move, "Its nothing, Sonic a-" Shadow didn't finish his sentence because they hear a roar. Shadow and Sonic turn to see a giant dragon looking serious at them.

   "Kazuki?!" asked Sonic, Kazuki didn't like Shadow touching Sonic like in that pose and being so close to him, Shadow let go of Sonic he was surprised to see a real dragon. Kazuki look at Shadow mad, Sonic realize it, "Kazuki he is my friend Shadow. He is a nice person" said Sonic, Kazuki look at Sonic glare at him, Sonic lowered a bit his ears, "I know but he isn't a bad guy" said Sonic, Shadow look at Sonic. "He can understand him?!" thought Shadow,Kazuki still glares at Sonic, "He promise" said Sonic. Kazuki look at Shadow and goes away flying, Shadow look at Sonic, "What happen?" asked Shadow, Sonic turn to Shadow, "He don't like strangers around these area. And thinks that you are here for the same thing that people come around here" said Sonic, "I'm not here for your powers, I'm here to be your friend and help you have someone to talk to" said Shadow, Sonic smile a little."Y-you aren't a bad dancer" said Sonic with a little blush on his cheeks, "Really? I never danced with someone" said Shadow scratching his quills, "Well me either jeje" said Sonic, "But you dance when you were playing your flute" said Shadow confused that Sonic said that he haven't dance. "Well I dance when I hear music. I dance as the music play-I forgot!" said Sonic, "What is it?" asked Shadow, "I forgot that I have to play my flute now!" said Sonic worried, "That can be the reason that Kazuki came. To see why I haven't play anything" said Sonic, "Don't worry Sonic. Start now, I wont interrump you" said Shadow. "O-ok" said Sonic, "Maybe I can help you. I can play my guitar and you your flute" said Shadow, "If you want to" said Sonic,"It will be a honor play with you" said Shadow smiling those words make Sonic blush alot. 

     Shadow start playing his guitar and Sonic follow the sound and play the flute, it was a beautiful sound. Kazuki was listening and watching everything, he lay down on the grass relaxing from the music Sonic and Shadow are playing. Shadow love seeing Sonic dancing again while playing his flute, Sonic have curves like a girl, "He is so amazing" thought Shadow. The was petals falling from the trees, it looks amazing on how they fall slowly, the lake shine bright like many diamonds. Sonic keep playing his flute making the most beautiful sound, Shadow was lost in thoughts, he just watch every details of Sonic and his movements.

     Later they finish playing the music, Shadow smile at Sonic, "You were wonderful" said Shadow, Sonic blush and turn not facing Shadow's look, Sonic was shy. "Th-thank you" said Sonic still blushing, Kazuki watch Sonic and saw Sonic's blush, Kazuki smile a little he knew that Sonic was feeling strange. "You were amazing too" said Sonic, Shadow grab Sonic's hand, "We should do this again. Don't you think? We can play together" said Shadow, Sonic look at Shadow, they faces were very close to each other. Shadow can see Sonic's beautiful green emeralds eyes, he didn't knew that he was getting more close to Sonic's face, Kazuki saw that and he got up and walk near the lake. With his tail he make a big splash, Shadow and Sonic were wet, Kazuki chuckle and went back to were he was laying down. Shadow and Sonic look at Kazuki then to each other, then they start to laught."Why did he do that?" asked Shadow, "Jaja I don't have any idea jajaja" said Sonic, some minutes later they calm down, Sonic sit down on the grass, Shadow do the same. "So Shadow, how is out there?" asked Sonic, Shadow look at Sonic confuse, "You mean outside of the forest?" asked Shadow, "Umm yeah I haven't seen how is been living outside this forest" said Sonic. "You never went outside from this place?" asked Shadow, Sonic chuckle, "Well Kazuki said that is to dangerous out there, I could be capture. So I have to stay here for my protection" explain Sonic, Shadow felt bad for him, Sonic haven't leave the lake all this years? Shadow thought for a moment and think of something, "What if you come with me to the village the day of the festival?" Sonic look surprise at Shadow, Kazuki quickly pay more attention, "You mean.... Leave this place?" asked Sonic, "Well.. Is just one night not like leaving for ever" said Shadow, Sonic wasn't sure of going away, what Kazuki think of it? "Ggrrrrr" Sonic turn to see Kazuki mad at him like saying that is a bad idea and don't dare of going there. Sonic look at Shadow, "I don't know.... I can't leave this place is my job staying here and play my flute" said Sonic, Shadow know that Sonic have a duty here and looking at Kazuki can see that he don't like the idea. "Okay I should be going now, my brother said that I must return early. If you want you can think about it and tell me tomorrow" said Shadow standing from the grass, Sonic grab his hand and walk on top of the water with him, they made it to the other side. "Well I see you tomorrow" said Shadow taking his hand away from Sonic's, Sonic wave at him with a small smile, when Shadow goes away Kazuki walk to Sonic. Sonic look at him and saw that he was mad, Sonic lowered his ears, "I can't go right?" asked Sonic, Kazuki shock his head slowly, Sonic lowered his head down, Kazuki cuddle his head to Sonic face, Sonic hug Kazuki's face. "I just wish I could see how is now, years passed and things change...... Right?" asked Sonic, Kazuki knows that he have been protected in this place for so many years, and he knew that one day he was going to ask him of going to see the world . Kazuki lay down on the grass and put Sonic next to his arm, Sonic cuddle and close his eyes, "I know that you say to me what is right for me because you care for me. I appreciate all you have done for me, you are like a father to me" said Sonic as he was getting sleepy, Kazuki put his head below Sonic's chin and Sonic put his hand on Kazuki's forehead and rub it. 

    Later Sonic was asleep resting his head on Kazuki's, Kazuki was asleep too until he wake up by hearing something, he slowly move his head away from Sonic's without waking him up, Kazuki hear silence and then he heard the same sound. It's sound like another dragon far away from the forest, Kazuki can tell that the other dragon wasn't friendly by he can hear, Kazuki look at the sky and saw that was purple. The sun will come out soon, he grab Sonic gently and put him on the middle of the lake, Sonic was still asleep. When the sun show up Sonic's body shine, then he wasn't in his normal form, he transform into a beautiful blue rose, Kazuki smile a little and leave to do his duty on protecting the forest.
